Ingredients:
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
- Fresh parsley for garnish optional
Instructions:
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and season them with salt and black pepper
In a bowl, mix together applesauce, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, smoked paprika, cinnamon, onion powder, and cayenne pepper if using
Place the ribs in the slow cooker and pour the apple BBQ sauce over them, making sure they are well-coated
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the ribs are tender and cooked through
Optional: Before serving, you can transfer the ribs to a preheated oven and broil for a few minutes for a caramelized finish
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired
